I'll admit that I have occassionally paid more for the accessories than the outfit that I wore them with. Shameful, but true. Jewelry Trends for 2008
Jewelry has never had a better year than 2008. This year almost anything goes. Jewelry styles vary diversely from streamlined to over-the-top.
Colors for the season are at opposite ends of the spectrum, ranging from earth-tones to bold, bright colors. From blue iris, royal lilac, true green, Caribbean blue, red, shitake brown, rose pink, twilight blue, burnt orange, and a mellow yellow.
Even the materials are diverse as we see chains, wood, shell, stone, gemstone, and synthetic. Baubles are big and layered from choker length to chest. Gone are the years of two or three "hot" colors. This year you can go earthy and natural, deep and rich, or wild and vibrant.
